My first reaction in seeing the AutoMemento Sheryl created for me was that I was pleasantly surprised, since I had never seen anything like it before. It kind of reminded me of a Rubik’s cube from the 70’s, but more fun and less frustrating! ;) I like that it’s fun, colourful, and instantly recognizable as something unique and special. It also incorporates several things I like to see daily and didn’t know how to display i.e.. Funny photos of my brother and I, my favourite MINI photos, and the spoofed Herb Ritts/MINI art photo.
I have never seen this type of artwork before, even though I’ve seen pieces that combine different objects with a main foundation piece in the shows and galleries here in Toronto’s Arts community.
I have shown my AutoMemento to many friends and family and they all thought it was fun and interesting -- a real conversation piece. Even though I have had mine for awhile now I still look at it every day at least several times when I’m in the living room, and every guest sees it.
I keep my AutoMemento on the coffee table in the living room and it is a fun way of reminding me of the Mini event. I always get a chuckle from it, and often look closely at the quality and different features to see something in a new way. It’s infinite entertainment!

When Sheryl first presented me with this absolutely cool art book about me and my Porsche Cab 944S2 "Flitzer", I was just in awe. I was speechless! How could someone have come up with such a great idea?
I just love the creativity, imagination and insight that 'made' this unique AutoMemento. It is more than just a bunch of photographs that are soon forgotten in a drawer, or lost in piles on the home desk, or may have found a home in an album or on your hard drive, hardly ever to be opened, more than snapshots on the web and facebook and more than a piece of prose in an auto magazine. Mine sits right on the coffee table, I can touch it, see it and feel it anytime I want. It's readily available for my own frequent delighted peaks-in, for family, friends, neighbours and neighbours' teenagers, who can't hear enough about it.
It's a story about an important part of my live, about hours of fun, about me and my car as a team, conquering the various world-famous tracks, and doing it better and faster each time. It also shows the details that go into the safe performance of our potentially dangerous hobby, motor sporting. I love Sheryl's work and can absolutely and whole-heartily endorse it as a treat for yourself or a precious gift for your 'better half' or 'partner in crime'.

I asked Sheryl to create the most amazing pieces for two little girls who lost their mom. Sheryl asked me to obtain family photos and get a little bit of an understanding of the girls’ personalities. Favourite colours, hobbies and many cherished family moments. Sheryl delivered a custom photo memento for each girl. The pieces are priceless! They delivered tears of joy and sorrow they are reviewed daily and cherished by everyone that sees them. Great work!
